Ofelia Velazquez de Casillas, aged 68, tragically lost her life on November 18, 2022, in Moreno Valley, California. The incident occurred during a child custody exchange involving her daughter, Esmeralda Casillas, and Esmeralda's ex-partner, Salvador Velasquez Jr. The exchange was meant to be a routine handover of the couple's seven-year-old twin boys.
