On November 30, 2014, Aaron White, a 24-year-old recruit for the Orleans Parish Sheriff's Office, was fatally shot in New Orleans, Louisiana. The incident occurred around 7 p.m. while he was in his red Pontiac G8 near the intersection of North Johnson Street and Orleans Avenue. Despite sustaining severe injuries, Aaron managed to drive a short distance to the 2800 block of Orleans Avenue before succumbing to his wounds. Authorities pronounced him dead at that location.
