Abraham "Abe" Telvi, a 22-year-old small-time criminal, met a violent end on July 28, 1956, in Manhattan, New York. Telvi was found shot to death on Mulberry Street, a victim of a gangland murder. His death was directly linked to his involvement in a notorious acid attack on labor columnist Victor Riesel.
