On a cold February evening in the Bronx, the life of 25-year-old Darin Capehart was tragically cut short. On February 7, 2014, inside the lobby of a building at the Forrest Houses public housing complex, Capehart was ambushed and fatally shot. Police responded to the scene at approximately 9:15 p.m. to find Capehart with multiple gunshot wounds. He was a male who was known to suffer from spina bifida.
The attack appeared to be sudden and violent, carried out by three unidentified gunmen.
