In the city of Buffalo, New York, a young man’s life was tragically cut short. Twenty-year-old Cesar Luis Davila-Ramirez, a male resident of the city, became a victim of gun violence on November 23, 2014. The fatal incident occurred at his own home, located at 36 Hudson Street. He was shot, and his death was one of three homicides that weekend in the city.
Following the shooting, an investigation was launched to find the person responsible for Mr. Davila-Ramirez's death.
The search for the suspect led law enforcement to New Port Richey, Florida. There, they apprehended Jonathan Roman, who was twenty years old at the time. Roman was then extradited back to Buffalo to face legal proceedings for his alleged involvement in the murder.
Jonathan Roman was formally charged with Murder in the Second Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree. He was arraigned before a County Court Judge on a sealed indictment. If convicted of the charges brought against him, Roman faced the possibility of a maximum prison sentence of 25 years to life for the shooting death of Cesar Luis Davila-Ramirez.
