On a Monday afternoon in February 2015, Shemrod Isaac, a 33-year-old male, was fatally shot in the East Village neighborhood of Manhattan. The incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. in front of the Lillian Wald Houses on Avenue D. Isaac, an aspiring rapper known by the stage name Sham Da God, had just dropped off his daughter with her mother shortly before the shooting.
