Shemrod Isaac, a 33-year-old resident of Manhattan, New York, was tragically shot and killed on February 23, 2015. The incident occurred in the East Village, specifically in front of the Lillian Wald Houses on Avenue D. Isaac, who was also known as an amateur rapper, was shot multiple times in the chest and arm. The shooting took place in broad daylight, shortly after Isaac had dropped off his six-year-old daughter. He was pronounced dead at the hospital shortly after the attack.
