On December 13, 2016, Alexon Moya, a 16-year-old from Uniondale, NY, was tragically shot in the head while standing on Fenimore Avenue near the Hofstra University campus. The incident occurred around 11:27 p.m., and Moya was found lying on the ground with a critical gunshot wound.
