Storm Hughes, a 22-year-old recent college graduate, tragically lost his life on July 13, 2017, in Brooklyn, New York. Hughes was shot by a teenage gunman who attempted to flee the scene on a Citi Bike. The incident occurred around 7 p.m. on E. 91st St. near Church Ave. in the Brownsville neighborhood. Hughes, who had just completed his degree at Monroe College, was struck in the chest and right side by two bullets fired from a 9-mm gun.
