In the waning hours of New Year's Eve, a burst of violence shattered the quiet of a Greenwich Village apartment building, leaving a 62-year-old man dead from a gunshot wound. Responding to a 911 call at approximately 4:56 p.m. on December 31st, police discovered Jonathan Berlin inside his fifth-floor residence at 110 Bedford Street with a fatal wound to his stomach. Emergency medical personnel rushed him to Lenox Hill Hospital, but his life could not be saved.
