In the early afternoon of October 3, 2020, tragedy struck in the Canarsie neighborhood of Brooklyn when 19-year-old Dashalique Rameau was fatally shot while driving. The young man was behind the wheel of his black 2007 BMW 330i convertible, traveling northbound on East 103rd Street, just a short distance from his home. At approximately 1:07 p.m., an unknown assailant fired at his vehicle, a bullet piercing the rear window and striking Rameau in the head.
