In the late hours of a December evening in Brooklyn, a burst of violence shattered the night's calm, leaving a man fatally wounded in the street. On December 15, 2020, at approximately 11:27 p.m., police responded to a distressing call of a man shot in front of 249 Cleveland Street. Arriving at the scene, officers discovered 39-year-old James Bowie, a male resident of Brooklyn, unconscious and unresponsive with a gunshot wound to his chest.
