In the early hours of a summer morning, the parking lot of a Rochester, New York Walmart on Hudson Avenue became the scene of a tragedy that claimed the life of 18-year-old Angel Gonzalez-Pagan. On June 28, 2021, a gathering of several hundred people turned chaotic when a fight erupted, leading to a barrage of nearly 50 gunshots just before 1:00 a.m. Gonzalez-Pagan was fatally wounded in the gunfire, which also left three other individuals injured, one critically.
