In the city of New Orleans, a native son, Terrence Pierre, Sr., found his life tragically cut short at the age of 40. On April 8, 2017, the 40-year-old African-American man was fatally shot in what has been described as an apparent gun battle in the Mid-City area. The Orleans Parish Coroner's office later identified him as the victim of the fatal shooting on Scott Street.
