John Brady Murphy, an FBI Special Agent, tragically lost his life on September 25, 1953, in Baltimore, Maryland. Murphy was involved in a gun battle with John Elgin Johnson, a murder suspect, at a movie theater in Baltimore. Johnson had been traced to the theater after making a phone call to a reporter in Los Angeles, California.
