Michael Scott Nickerson, a 24-year-old police officer from Centreville, Maryland, tragically lost his life on February 13, 2001. Officer Nickerson, along with Deputy Sheriff Jason Schwenz of the Queen Anne County Sheriff's Office, responded to a noise complaint at a mobile home on Hammond Street.
