In the early morning hours of November 2, 2008, the quiet of a parking lot on Walters Lane in Forestville, Maryland, was shattered by the sound of gunfire. When Prince George's County police officers arrived at the scene around 1:44 a.m., they discovered two men suffering from gunshot wounds. One of the victims, 29-year-old Levar Tyran Jones, was found with a wound to his upper body and was rushed to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
