Samuel Asefa, a three-month-old infant, tragically died on November 20, 2013, in New Market, Maryland. The incident was part of a devastating murder-suicide that also claimed the lives of his parents, Benyam Asefa and Barbara Giomarelli. The Frederick County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene after the couple's five-year-old daughter ran to a neighbor's house for help. Upon arrival, deputies discovered the bodies of the three family members, all of whom had been shot.
