Howard Richard Popp Jr., aged 39, tragically lost his life on August 20, 2014, in Laurel, Maryland. The incident occurred late at night when Popp was with his girlfriend, Cathy Mendiola, in a car parked on Sudlersville South. According to reports, Robert Mendiola, Cathy's estranged husband, approached the couple and initiated a confrontation.
