On a Monday evening in Catonsville, Maryland, the sound of gunshots pierced the air, setting in motion a tragic series of events that would end with one man dead and another injured. A nearby police officer, hearing the shots, quickly responded to the scene. He soon discovered a man running down the street, suffering from a gunshot wound to his back, and immediately arranged for his transport to a nearby hospital.
