Dante Barnes, a 39-year-old resident of Baltimore, Maryland, tragically lost his life on July 11, 2015. Barnes was known for his involvement in community outreach and violence prevention efforts, particularly through his work with the Safe Streets program. This initiative aimed to mediate conflicts and reduce violence in high-crime neighborhoods. On the morning of his death, Barnes was found with a fatal gunshot wound to the head near the Douglas Homes housing projects in East Baltimore.
