On a brisk evening in Northwest Baltimore, the lives of several people were irrevocably altered by a sudden and brutal act of violence. On November 30, 2016, a lone gunman opened fire on a group of individuals gathered in front of a convenience store, leaving two dead and four others wounded. Among the deceased was Troy Smothers, a 29-year-old male.
