Steven M. Beck, a 61-year-old resident of Rockville, Maryland, was found dead on March 17, 2017, following a catastrophic explosion at his home on Ashley Drive in the Randolph Hills neighborhood. The explosion, which occurred in the early hours of the morning, was so powerful that it was felt over a mile away and caused significant damage to nearby homes. Upon investigation, authorities discovered Beck's body in the basement of the house, along with the remains of his dog, Max.
