In the spring of 2017, a tragedy befell a Hyattsville, Maryland resident, leaving a family grieving and a community searching for answers. On April 4th, 31-year-old Charles Bennett, a Black/African American male, was found lying in a driveway in the 7100 block of East Lombard Street in Landover. He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds, and despite the arrival of Prince George's County Police, his life could not be saved.
