Deon Garner, a 26-year-old resident of Baltimore, Maryland, tragically lost his life on March 19, 2018. Garner was found with multiple gunshot wounds at the corner of Westwood and Moreland avenues in the Coppin Heights neighborhood around 10 p.m. on that fateful night. Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, he was pronounced dead upon arrival. His death marked the ninth homicide in Baltimore for the month of March and the 20th killing in the city within a span of 30 days.
