In the quiet of a Perry Hall, Maryland home, the life of 12-year-old Julian Roary Jr., a Black male, was tragically cut short on July 17, 2015. The devastating event unfolded in the early hours of the morning when Julian's father, 47-year-old Julian Roary Sr., shot and killed him and his 10-year-old brother, Ian, before taking his own life. The boys' father was the sole suspect in their deaths, and as such, no arrests were made.
