On the evening of May 10, 2019, a burst of gunfire shattered the night in the 200 block of North Monastery Avenue in Baltimore, Maryland. When the chaos subsided, three people had been shot. Among them was Devone Manning, a 22-year-old Black male. He, along with 25-year-old Travis Gardner, succumbed to their injuries, marking another double homicide in a city grappling with a surge in violence.
