In the summer of 2019, a tragic event unfolded in Northwest Baltimore, forever altering the lives of a local family. Steven Tasker, a 39-year-old male, was fatally shot on the evening of Sunday, July 28th. A tow-truck driver for Hebbville Towing and a member of the Sin City Deciples motorcycle club, Tasker was known for his dedication to his family and his work.
On that fateful evening, Steven Tasker was outside his home in the 2800 block of Forest Glen Road with his fiancée.
He was cleaning his tow truck when two masked men emerged from a nearby wooded area. The assailants attempted to rob the couple. In a final act of love and protection, Tasker stepped in front of his fiancée to shield her from the attackers. It was in this moment that he was shot by the assailants. Despite being rushed to a local hospital, Steven Tasker succumbed to his gunshot wounds.
The initial investigation into the homicide was handled by the Baltimore Police Department's Homicide Unit. Authorities appealed to the public for any information that could lead to the identification and apprehension of the two male suspects. The men were described only as being masked at the time of the incident. In the years that have followed, there have been no publicly available updates regarding any arrests made in connection with the murder of Steven Tasker. The case, as far as online sources indicate, remains unsolved, with no suspects having been officially named, charged, or brought to trial for his death.
