In the winter of 2021, the life of 20-year-old Curtis Berry, a Black male, was tragically cut short in a burst of violence on a Baltimore street. On the evening of January 5th, at approximately 9:28 p.m., gunfire erupted in the 2200 block of West Baltimore Street. When the sounds of the shots faded, both Curtis Berry and a 38-year-old woman were left wounded.
