On January 19, 2021, Fredrick Markeith Young, a 24-year-old resident of Bryans Road, Maryland, was tragically killed in a shooting incident. The Charles County Sheriff's Office received a report of a shooting at approximately 9:39 a.m. in the area of South Hampton Drive at Weston Drive. Upon arrival, officers found Young with a gunshot wound to the upper body. Despite the efforts of citizens and paramedics to save his life, Young was pronounced dead at the scene.
