Desmond Canada, a 16-year-old from Baltimore, Maryland, was tragically killed on January 1, 2022. He was one of the first homicide victims of the year in Baltimore, alongside 17-year-old Bernard Thomas. The incident occurred around 1:30 AM on Gelston Drive in Southwest Baltimore, where both teenagers were shot and killed. Another 16-year-old boy was also wounded in the shooting but survived.
