In the early evening of a Tuesday in June, tragedy struck in a northeast Baltimore neighborhood, forever altering the lives of several families. On June 7, 2022, 19-year-old Craig Phillips Jr., a male resident of Baltimore, was with a group of friends outside a home in the 5500 block of Plainfield Avenue. The quiet atmosphere was shattered at approximately 6:30 p.m. when an unidentified gunman approached the group and opened fire.
