On a summer evening in Baltimore, tragedy struck on the 5300 block of Frankford Avenue. Davonta Lamont Powell, a 21-year-old Black male, was found at approximately 7:55 p.m. on June 26, 2022, suffering from fatal gunshot wounds. The incident, which unfolded near a shopping center in Northeast Baltimore, was a triple shooting that also claimed the life of 26-year-old Dametrius Johnson and left a 28-year-old woman injured.
