In the late hours of a summer evening in Baltimore, Maryland, tragedy struck in the Hillen neighborhood. On July 15, 2022, just before midnight, officers on patrol responded to reports of a shooting in the 1700 block of Argonne Drive. Upon arrival, they discovered a grim scene with three young men suffering from gunshot wounds. Among them was 17-year-old Julian Foster III, a Black male, who was found with gunshot wounds.
Emergency medical personnel were dispatched to the location, and
the victims were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment. Despite their efforts, Julian Foster III succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. The shooting also claimed the life of 19-year-old Ernest Mcrea. A third victim, another 17-year-old, was treated for his injuries and was reported to be in stable condition. Investigators found evidence of the shooting in an alleyway between Argonne Drive and Ralworth Road.
The Baltimore Police Department's Homicide detectives have taken control of the investigation into the triple shooting. The circumstances and motive behind the incident remain under investigation, and authorities have not publicly identified any suspects or made any arrests in connection with the deaths of Julian Foster III and Ernest Mcrea. The police have urged anyone with information regarding the shooting to come forward and contact homicide detectives to assist in bringing those responsible to justice.
