In the early morning hours of December 4, 2022, the life of 19-year-old Jaymyra Burrell, a pregnant woman from Baltimore, Maryland, was tragically cut short. Responding to a shooting report around 3 a.m. in the 5600 block of Woodmont Avenue, police discovered Burrell suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite being rushed to a hospital, she and her unborn child, a girl she had named Zuri, did not survive. An investigation revealed she had been shot nine times.
