In the summer of 2009, a Saturday evening in Columbia, South Carolina, turned tragic with the death of 17-year-old Justin Green. On July 4th, the young man sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the neck while inside a house at 800 Woodside Avenue. Authorities were alerted to the incident, and Green was rushed to Palmetto Health Richland. Despite medical efforts, he was pronounced dead at 8:12 p.m. that evening.
