In the summer of 2014, a weekend block party in Prosperity, South Carolina, turned into a scene of tragedy, abruptly ending the life of 19-year-old Zemeckis Monteco Devante Houston of Newberry. On the night of July 20th, what was meant to be a joyous gathering on Rikard School Road, attended by over 100 people, was shattered by the sound of gunshots. In the ensuing chaos, Houston was fatally struck in the head and succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
