On October 5, 2015, Gomez Hurd, a 31-year-old resident of New Cassel, Westbury, NY, was tragically shot and killed. The incident occurred at approximately 6:16 p.m. in front of 994 Prospect Avenue. When police arrived at the scene, they found Hurd suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
