In the small town of Fort Lawn, South Carolina, a violent home invasion shattered the quiet of an early morning, leaving a young man dead and his girlfriend wounded. On Tuesday, October 14, 2014, 29-year-old Kenneth O'Brian 'Ken' Tidwell was shot and killed inside his residence on Shirley Road. The attack, which occurred around 12:30 a.m., was described by authorities as the first murder of the year in the community.
