In the early morning hours of November 29, 2014, the life of 24-year-old Dewuane Chris Douglas was tragically cut short in Loris, South Carolina. Authorities reported that Douglas, a Black male, was gunned down at a residence on Spring Street around 1:30 a.m. An autopsy later confirmed that he died from multiple gunshot wounds.
At the time of the incident, it was unclear if Douglas resided at the home where the shooting occurred, as court records from a recent traffic violation listed a
different address for him in Loris. The Horry County Police Department launched a homicide investigation into his death.
Despite the passage of time, the case of who killed Dewuane Chris Douglas remains unsolved. Law enforcement has not publicly identified any suspects, and no arrests have been made in connection with his murder.
