Daniel Quentin Grooms, a 25-year-old male from Wallace, South Carolina, was fatally shot in the early morning hours of January 21, 2015. The incident unfolded at a residence on Level Green Church Road in the Wallace area of Marlboro County. Grooms was at the home of his girlfriend, Valerie Pernell, when her ex-boyfriend, Tony Maundrell Kastelan, arrived at the scene.
