Jerry Wayne Fernandez, a 24-year-old resident of Cowpens, South Carolina, tragically lost his life on May 9, 2015. Fernandez was shot and killed near the intersection of Old Pacolet Road and Wood Street in Cowpens. The incident occurred following an argument between Fernandez and his cousin, Bernard Dewberry, over a woman earlier in the day. Fernandez identified Dewberry as the shooter in a 911 call he placed before succumbing to his injuries.
