Walter Preston "Walt" Winn, aged 77, passed away on August 21, 2015, in Edgefield County, South Carolina. His death was the result of a robbery at his store, Winn's Grocery, which he had owned for 16 years. Born on December 13, 1937, in Edgefield County, Walt Winn was a well-known figure in the community. He had served six years in the Air Force and worked for 25 years at Milliken in McCormick before helping to build the McCormick Prison.
