Robert Earl Benson, aged 47, tragically lost his life on February 3, 2017, in Darlington, South Carolina. The incident occurred on Sugar Creek Circle, off Turnpike Road, where deputies were dispatched around 8:45 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered Benson's body and took Mary Denise Poston, 53, into custody. It was believed that Poston and Benson were cohabitating at the time of the shooting.
