In the early morning hours of March 17, 2019, a tragic discovery was made in Greenville County, South Carolina. Thirty-one-year-old Jamie Dale Smith, a male resident of Easley, was found deceased in his pickup truck on the side of Locust Hill Road in Travelers Rest. The hazard lights of his vehicle were blinking, drawing the attention of passersby who alerted the authorities.
Upon their arrival, Greenville County Sheriff's Office deputies found Smith in the driver's seat with a fatal gunshot wound to the head.
The investigation into the death of Jamie Dale Smith quickly uncovered a sinister plot. Authorities determined that Smith had been lured to the location under the guise of a pre-planned drug transaction.
