In the early morning hours of May 19, 2019, a tragic event unfolded in Greenville, South Carolina, that ended the life of 23-year-old Nadeja Jermainequa Pressley. Pressley, a young woman, was returning to her home on Young Street around 1:15 a.m. when she was fatally shot. The person behind the firearm was her own father, Jermaine Pressley, who reportedly mistook her for an intruder attempting to break into the residence and fired a single shot through the door.
