On the morning of May 24, 2019, Darlington County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a residence on North Center Road after neighbors reported hearing a gunshot. Upon arrival, they discovered 61-year-old Travis Warren Stevenson deceased at the scene. Darlington County Coroner Todd Hardee later confirmed that Stevenson's death was a homicide.
