In the early morning hours of September 21, 2019, a tragic shooting shattered the atmosphere at Ole Skool Sports Bar & Grill in Lancaster, South Carolina, leaving two men dead and several others wounded. One of the victims was 28-year-old Aaron Harris of Kershaw, South Carolina. The violent incident also claimed the life of 29-year-old Henry Lee Colvin of Rock Hill.
In the chaotic aftermath of the shooting, nine other individuals were found to have sustained injuries.
The investigation into the deadly shooting led authorities to identify two suspects: Antonia Emmanuel Champion, 30, of Fort Mill, and Breante Deon Stevens. Law enforcement officials announced that both men were wanted in connection with the murders of Harris and Colvin. A warrant was issued for Stevens's arrest, and he was described as 'armed and dangerous.' Champion was taken into custody by the Lancaster County Sheriff's Office.
Following his arrest, Antonia Emmanuel Champion faced multiple charges, including two counts of murder for the deaths of Aaron Harris and Henry Lee Colvin. Additional charges against Champion included possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime, carrying a pistol, possession of a pistol by a person convicted of a crime of violence, and possession of a firearm on premises where alcohol is sold. The investigation suggested that a long-running dispute may have been a motive for the shooting, with the other victims being caught in the crossfire.
