In the winter of 2019, the community of Union, South Carolina, was shaken by the violent death of Tyvin Marquis Jeter. A 40-year-old man, Jeter was a familiar face in his hometown, a graduate of Union County High School who was employed at Kraft Foods in nearby Newberry. His life was abruptly cut short on December 30, 2019, when he became a victim of gun violence.
