Edward Lee Eastmead V, a 17-year-old from Walhalla, South Carolina, tragically lost his life on March 5, 2020, in an accidental shooting. The incident occurred at a friend's house on Trillium Drive in Mountain Rest. According to the Oconee County Coroner's Office, Eastmead was handling a handgun when it discharged, resulting in a fatal gunshot wound to his head.
