In the quiet town of Pelzer, South Carolina, the evening of May 4, 2021, turned tragic for 32-year-old Dallas K. Rosemond. A Black man, Rosemond was fatally shot in the parking lot of a Dollar General store on Augusta Road around 8:30 p.m. He was rushed to Greenville Memorial Hospital, but succumbed to his injuries about an hour later. The Greenville County Coroner's Office subsequently ruled his death a homicide.
